Which devices does it run on?
Smart Inspect is a mobile app for iOS and Android phones and tablets. The same app can also run in a web browser, so your fleet can use one consistent tool across phones, tablets and computers.
Can drivers complete inspections without an internet connection?
Yes. Smart Inspect works offline. Inspections and photos are saved locally and upload automatically when a connection returns. Drivers can see the sync status and retry any failed uploads with a tap.
How do drivers get set up on the app?
Setup is straightforward. An administrator issues a six-digit registration token. The driver enters it once, the device is registered and signed in, and credentials are stored securely so there’s no need to log in repeatedly.
Are inspections customisable to our checks?
Yes. Inspections use configurable checklists with ordered questions. These can include yes/no answers, defect flags, text or number fields, and branching logic that shows follow-up questions when needed. Each company sees its own tailored checklists.
How are defects and evidence recorded?
When a driver flags a defect they can add notes and take photos directly in the app. Each inspection is also tagged with GPS location and mileage, giving managers clear, time-stamped, location-verified evidence for maintenance and compliance records.
